DECLINE OF POSTNATAL MORTALITY ALONG WITH AGE &
DECREASE OF TOTAL RADIOACTIVITY ALONG WITH TIME

The decrease of mortality along with age and the decrease of total activity along with time after a nuclear explosion could be identical. Empirical data show that both quantities decline with the first power of time. This decline could be explained by a population heterogeneity. It is evident in the case of total radioativity (where different radionuclides have different decay constants automatically...). It is a suprising assumption in the case of postnatal mortality from infectious diseases. Consequently, latent congenital defects could cause death in the majority of children. They could died during childhood even if an infectious disease is determined as the cause of death. On the other hand, human population could be approximatelly homogenous with respect to malignan neoplasm in comparison with all other causes of death up 25 years.
