Prerequisites: relevant both general and professional knowledge of English adequate to knowledge of second year students
Aims of the subject: Students get acquainted with the essentials of translations of various styles and functions. Authentic material presented in each seminar will help them to improve their lexis in the following areas: travel and tourism, transport, political, social and culture life. Students get familiar with the basic rules of consecutive interpreting, will practise immediate reactions, estimating relevant and redundant information. By the end of the semester each student presents a file with 12 pieces of news or articles [30 lines] with new phrases, idioms and lexis.
