Semi-Automatic Standard (SAS) Semi-automatic carbine with flame arrestor or muzzle brake of limited size. Optical sights are prohibited. The length of the compensator/flame retardant is measured from the end of the rifling to the end of the device.

Manual Open (MAO) is a carbine reloaded by the shooter's force, with optical sights, bipod, without muzzle brake, flame arrestor or recoil compensator. The Manual class, or in other words "Manual Reloading", is defined as a firearm in which the extraction of a spent cartridge case is performed exclusively by physical manipulation of the competitor. Carbines in which reloading is carried out in whole or in part by the action of powder gases, recoil or inertia are not classified as "manual reloading".

The Manual class, or in other words "Manual Reloading", is defined as a firearm in which the extraction of a spent cartridge case is performed exclusively by physical manipulation of the competitor. Carbines in which reloading is carried out in whole or in part by the action of powder gases, recoil or inertia are not classified as "manual reloading.
